WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS MUD

dry thunderstorms
most everyday
lightning starts fires
most everyday
no rain
would like to just pack up
and just fly away

"There's many a bestseller that could have been prevented by a good teacher."

Flannery O'Conner (1925-1964)

  1. Oh those dry thunderstorms is what scares my dog most! I can relate to your opening of this poem too, where it's so lovely to discover other things along the way of our thinking...not just a weed, but stew too and even glue...very cool.
